Making a Difference

On a regular basis on my Facebook feed, I ask how people are intentionally making a difference in the world, or I encourage them to do something to make a difference. I know this can feel absurd because the world is big, and the problems are big, and we are…not as big as the world, but what I am trying to point out is making a difference doesn’t have to be a major undertaking. You can make a difference in a second.

An easy way to help folks out: There are content creators all over Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram that get paid for their content based on likes, comments, and shares. If you like a creator, you can easily help them out by liking or sharing their posts.

That Good News Girl is one of my favorites. Her name is Jen, and she posts something positive every day. She has given up her job to focus on being a presence of positivity. Her only income is what she gets from social media pay, donations, or support. Any time I see her post, I like it. Usually, I listen to the video because it always makes me smile, but even if I don’t listen to the whole video, I click like. It takes a second. That’s it. However, my second combined with the seconds of ten thousand other people give her an income to keep pouring positive stuff into our lives and the world. The return of that one second is beyond my fathoming.

So take a second and make a difference. 😉
